We started The Skin Clinic because we were frustrated with an industry that prioritised profit over people and planet. We wanted to prove that you can create skincare that actually works, is completely natural, and is produced with real respect for the environment. That mission shapes everything we do.
Recyclable Packaging
All of our product packaging is made from recyclable materials. Our bottles are manufactured from PET plastic, which is one of the most widely recycled plastics in the world. We are actively working toward transitioning our full product line to post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials, reducing the demand for virgin plastic production. We encourage all customers to recycle their empty bottles through their local recycling programme.
Sustainably Sourced Ingredients
Every botanical ingredient in our formulas is sourced from suppliers who meet our strict ethical and environmental standards. We prioritise suppliers who use regenerative farming practices, avoid synthetic pesticides, and pay fair wages to their workers. Our grapeseed oil, jojoba, and coconut oil are all sourced from certified sustainable farms. We conduct regular supplier audits to ensure these standards are maintained.
100% Cruelty-Free
We are proudly and unconditionally cruelty-free. We never test any of our products or ingredients on animals at any stage of development, and we do not work with third-party manufacturers or suppliers who do. Our products are also fully vegan — we use no animal-derived ingredients whatsoever. We believe effective skincare never requires animal suffering, and we will never compromise on this principle.
Carbon Footprint Reduction
We are committed to understanding and reducing our carbon footprint across our entire supply chain. We have partnered with carbon offset programmes to neutralise the emissions generated by our shipping and manufacturing operations. We also consolidate shipments wherever possible to reduce the number of individual deliveries and their associated emissions. This is an ongoing journey and we publish updates on our progress annually.
Water-Conscious Formulation
Our oil-based formulas are intentionally water-free. Traditional water-based skincare products require large volumes of water in their production and often need synthetic preservatives to prevent microbial growth. By formulating with pure plant oils and botanical extracts, we eliminate the need for water in our manufacturing process entirely — reducing both water consumption and the need for chemical preservatives.
Minimal Packaging Philosophy
We believe the best packaging is as little as necessary. Our products ship without excess cardboard boxes, tissue paper, or plastic inserts. Each bottle is protected with a simple, recyclable sleeve. We have eliminated single-use plastic from our fulfilment process and use paper-based void fill in all shipments. Less packaging means less waste — and lower costs that we pass on to you.
